Looks ARE Deceiving!

Some of you have been asking me to post some pics of the family.  I have been doing a terrible job of taking pics.  But my wife captured one I wanted to post.  Here is our 4-year old.  I know you are not going to believe it but this little "angel" is our terror!  She runs the house.  She has more fits than all of the rest of us combined (and that includes our almost 2-year old).

She is the one that was mentioned in these posts.

I know after reading these you are not going to believe that I'm talking about the 4-year old in the pic.  But trust me... Looks ARE Deceiving!

  1. Looks may be deceiving...But she has the look of an angel down too a tee...

  2. Thank you very much! I can see she has used her mind control powers on you as well.

  3. Que, I have six children and four of them are over the age of four. Can I tell you each time we've gone through this age it's gotten worse? I have no need for four year olds.

    I will have to say though, I think you may have it worse. She's a girl AND a middle child. Those two things alone, much less combined, are bad enough. Add the fact that she's four to it and if she lived at my house she'd be lucky to see five. Not that I hate girls, but nine out of ten people tell me boys are way easier.

  4. She is so CUTE!!! I worked REALLY REALLY hard at perfecting my angel face when I was little and I have to say, I think it was pretty darn good. But this...this makes me embarrassed. I need to go back to Angel Face School.

  7. @SandyAnnDee - Thanks. She takes after my wife. Lucky for her.

    @Table 4 7 - Thanks. Now you are just rubbing it in. :) 2 down and 1 to go.

    @Lilly - NO, NO! Don't let her know that there is a school for that look. She already gets everything she wants!

    @JoJo - I hope you are right about that. :)

    @Anna - Thanks! Hey, wait! I'm trying to make the 3 I have grow up and move out as soon as possible and you are trying to add a +1 to the mix. lol. My wife hates when I say that. I'm just kidding. But it's funny to me anyway.

  8. My word, that's a sweetie. But I have a 3 and 1/2 year old girl, so I KNOW that she may not actually be as sweet as she looks! My oldest daughter can peel the paint off of the walls with her screams when she doesn't get her way (which changes back and forth and back again at the speed of light (c2) anyhow). {SIGH} I've never gone through this with a girl but with boys it does eventually get better...

    And I actually spit coffee when I read about the Wii bowling experience. My oldest daughter does the EXACT.SAME.THING with the evil "B" button. She kicks some butt at boxing, though, with her purple shirt and pigtails.

  9. 4YO's need to run the house because they're already working on their resumes. It's just natural.

  11. You seem to be making such a good job of bringing up your children Que that I have made the decision to send you mine. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to send them air mail but I did manage to send them recorded delivery. They should arrive next Thursday by which time they maybe a little hungry. If you could send them back when they turn 18 that would be great!

  12. @The Mommy - Thank you. Yeah, the tantrums can be rough. And the nerve of my wife... She refuses to let me put them back! They're not done yet. They need to bake a little longer.

    @Eric - Thanks for straightening me out on this one. I knew there was a reason for it. I just couldn't put my finger on it.

    @dark_chocolate - Not in my house! Her power doesn't work on me! (Whatever.)

    @Spencer Park - Thanks, Spencer. That's exactly what we need... more kids. Sure, I will take care of... wait. Did you say Thursday? Well that stinks. We are going out of town on Wednesday. I'm not even sure when we will get back. Maybe a few days. Maybe a few months. Who knows? So it looks like I will have to refuse delivery. We can try this again in a few decades if you'd like. :)

  14. Que - when my kids turn out to be delinquents I'll know who to blame!! Remember you had the chance to save them!!

    Lilly - thank you very much.

  15. @Spence Park - You know... that's the right we have as a parent. I fully plan to blame someone else for the bad stuff that happen to my kids as well. However, I fully plan to take credit for ALL of the good stuff. It's good to be the parent. Now tell your kids I said sorry.

    @Lilly - Don't encourage Spencer. :)

    @Lisa - Thanks!

    @Glen Staples - ??? :)

  17. My husband has a warning that he gives to strangers encountering our daughters for the first time: "Don't look directly at the cuteness."

    I think that warning may apply here. She is ADORABLE and so sweet-looking. :-)
